I've been to Leesburg VA and the area within Loudoun County VA a few times. Although we may not get to the Inauguration this late in the game, I'm thinking we would love to be in the area and be part of history. Considering the amount of history the Loudoun County VA area has I'd like to visit either the weekend before or the weekend after. Shouldn't be too overcrowded considering the distance from DC (about 35-40 miles) but still in the middle of great things to do.
Would welcome anyone's comments on visiting the area during this time of year and during inauguration. There is a great itinerary on the Loudoun County Tourism site that looks very cool to do, especially with the family. http://www.visitloudoun.org/political_itinerary/
Let me know what you think. Thanks!
